Natalia Lafourcade was born in a family of musicians and raised in Veracruz. She started to sing with local bands at the age of 10 and started her solo-career with teen-pop in 2002.  She gathered popularity with pop-rock in 2005 and mainstream pop in 2009. Since her fourth album in 2012, ‘Mujer Divina, Homenaje a Agustin Lara’ she explores Latin-American folk classics with exceptional delicacy, talent and originality, as showcased in her recent tasty jazz-tinged cover of  the 1969 Mercedes Sosa song ‘Alfonsina y el Mar‘. She also delivers her own heavenly compositions like  ‘Un derecho de nacimiento‘ (2012), ‘Mexicana hermosa‘ (2017), ‘Danza de gardenias‘ o ”Hoy mi día uno‘ (2018). Natalia Lafourcade has won 15 Grammy Awards between 2006 and 2021.
